Solek’s power plants encircling the Chilean metropolis

The first power plants from a massive investment plan in Chile began to be built by Solek group, which includes Chilean branch PV Power, in the first quarter in the Maule Region and the Valparaíso Region in Chile, namely the Villa Seca, Los Paltos and Santa Fe photovoltaic sources with a total capacity of 16.64 MWp DC. In addition to the three above plants, Solek has also started building projects with a total capacity of up to 70 MWp DC this year.

On 5 June the 100% acquisition of PV Power by the Solek Group was signed. In doing so the Group has joined forces with its long-time partner, with whom it has been working closely since 2010. At today's Czech-Chilean Technology Cooperation Seminar - opportunities defined by the Eureka Program as part of the Innovation Week presented by Zdeněk Sobotka CEO of the Solek Group.  Solek has been active in Chile since 2014 having built and sold three solar plants already, the group is planning construction of additional 200 MW of new projects. The government in Chile actively supports development of green energy as well as the latest trends in this area. Solek Group is focusing on energy storage technology and is also looking at opportunities in use of secondary energy sources such as biogas. The global renewable energy has a huge investment potential which Solek actively offers on the market.

We have completed a second photovoltaic power plant in Chile

Recently, specifically on the 15th March 2018, the testing and connection to the grid of PV power plant Amparo del Sol (2,9 MW) was successfully finished. This power plant is in Ovalle region in Chile. Therefore we have realised a second project in South America. The exclusive supplier is PV Power. In the past days, we have also successfully signed a sale purchase agreement to sell this power plant.

As of now, on the construction site of Amparo del Sol power plant, all the panels manufactured by SUNTECH have been fitted to the trackers manufactured by HIASA. There are only a few last adjustments left. The connection of the power plant to the grid is planned in the middle of February. After this, the power plant shall start the testing operation.
